My Philosophy Of Education

Education is the process that spreads and receives knowledge, skills and creativities. Also it is the basic way to build the child's personality and to build a whole society. ALLA said in the holy Quraan: "God will exalt those of you who believe and those who have knowledge to high degrees" Some of the most important aim of education is the development of progressive members and balanced personalities which means a balanced society full of social democracy, wisdom, and society that knows the difference between good and bad.Also education helps any person to have a high standard of living and economic satisfaction. One of the benefits of education is that the educational system teaches us how to obtain and develop critical and logical thinking and make independent decisions.Educated people understand how valuable it is to live in a stable and secure community. Nowadays methods to deliver information for any student has been envolved, the development of technology helped teachers to deliver information and gain technology easily. Also teachers can spread information by using stories, senses, experiences, research, and signals, and group discussion so that they can share information with each other. Goals should be determined before any teacher enters any class and it must include the breadth and depth to which a student is expected to learn. Students should discover the results of any experiment lonely by the help of their teachers and apply it to their daily life, after that they should be evaluated to make sure that all students understood every information. Teacher is responsible for building the society, so he should be ideal for his students.In class he should inspire, motivate, encourage and support them.They build lessons that include simulations,experiments, case studies and activities to deliver curriculum. With the development of technology, we can now teach and learn online without any difficulty wich was so difficult the last year, now we have more opportunalities to deliver the information to our students in a right way. Also now we are able to do everything online, job interview, doctors appointmnet , and teaching students all over the world any subject they want and any language they would like.

Challenges you face when learning/teaching online !!!!!

As a teacher in private online lessons and a TD student there are many challenges that i have been faced because learning and teaching online is not an easy thing, it requires a lot of effort some of those challenges and problems were: 1- Lack of Motivation this is the biggest problem because the students are isolated in their rooms infront of a screen without cameras, so they can sleep, can eat and can play either games and this will cause lack of concentration 2- lack of enternet connection and electricity in Lebanon As we know in this difficult situation in Lebanon we suffer from bad enternet and disappearance of electricity 3- Technical difficulties with online teaching tools and this problem affect the students especially when they are doing their exams when the tool that they are using does not work suddenly or all the information on it disappear

I have always wanted to be able to teach students with learning difficulties but i did not know from where to start. I worked as a teacher in Venezuela and i noticed that there is some students that need help, and I wished I could help them. And this was a turning point for me, I decided to learn more about the technological effect on these students and how to use them. I began from a student that had some difficulties and this was a challenge for me. I WON THE CHALLENGE !! Students nowadays can not live without technology in their houses, they communicate with each other, they know new people, and they search new information. So nowadays it is very important to integrate technology in the classroom because it is now a part of every students life, it is a bridge to connect students to the school and making them active. By using games in the teaching method the information will stick in the minds of the students and they will feel fun and comfortable in the class.

The most important class in this semester was the course EDU 561 , this course was helpful and useful for all those who aspire for a better education in the future, we learned in it how to teach online and do exams online, also we learned about so many useful applications so that helps all the students participate with the teacher and share their ideas with each others, so the teacher can make sure that all the information reached the students. We learned also making Blogs and spreading our ideas to reach all the world, it is useful especially that technology has become an essential thing for every individual in society. Finally google docs and google slides they have become important since the beginning of the online education.

Since the beginning of the online classes all the teachers became mastered in finding out and inventing so many helpful tools that sometimes it effects the students and help him get the information more than learning in the class

1- Google Form:

 Google form is a useful tool that is easy to use interface and friendly for all the students,it is free so all the students can achieve it. Also it is very helpful for the teachers since it create all the forms of questions where you can share anywhere you want. also it is very useful since both teachers and students can get an email notification for responses.

 

 2-Jamboard

Jam board is a wonderful tool that can be used used to build communication between students and their teacher, it is creative because it helps students to be engaged , active and creative in the class

3-Pear Deck

Pear Deck slides help draw all students to all seats and provide meaningful ratings, regardless of class or subject. Pear Deck supports interactive, community orientated classrooms that help students build confidence and understanding

 

  4- Padlet

This program helps students to instantly publish their work. This is a key to my teaching philosophy. Publishing work add to the class engagement between the students since everyone will be able to read his friends answers and ideas. Also it does not need any account so everyone will be able to work on it. It is wonderful in its designs and has privacy so either the answers can be private or visible to all the students.

 

There are so many other tools to get an excellent quality of education either if we are learning and teaching online. For example: World wall,  Mentimeter, and Flipgrid.
